To the faithful followers of my blog. All 10 of you. At least I hope It's up to 10. I apologize for denying you the pearls of my wisdom, the nuggets of my knowledge and insight. Well, at least my sarcasm anyway.

But as teacher my main duty has beckoned me and has required 80% of the attention that I am able to muster. Another 10% for openly complaining how sore my old body is. The last 10% is reserved for sleeping. Of course all of those are by-products of the beginning of another school year, in fact  its my 34th year . 34 years in a  classrooms in both Florida, and for the past 20 years, Texas. 34 years of teenage energy and all that comes with it.

That teenage energy goes hand in hand with a lot of chaos. So as 800 middle schoolers burst through the doors I thought I would place a stream of conscious list of things I’ve witnessed in my years. A list in no particular order, a list with no names of responsible parties. Here goes:

Vicky Valencourt is the devil, Permanant marker dot on a 6th Grade forehead, Angry Romanian mom storming a classroom, The Lunch Unic, Leaving a kid in France, Coffee, It all comes out in the wash, OYE Chi-Co, Over the hill!!, Book and clock, Tana-kee-kee, Mr Goofy, I’m against PDAs- even in the home, The Vulcan, Earl Weaver is not coming through that door anytime soon- so I guess you’ll do, Director of Linguistically Sciences, Snood, Dige si senor, La Pumita, OJ’S kids, B? B is good...you pain in the  ass!, Swirlies, Meat slap, There is no grander creature than the 7th grade boy, CMC, ISS, PEIMS, DAEP, ESL, EB, ARD, 504, Your WiFi is swirling, Pata de Cabra, Peanut Butter, Chromebooks, Professional Development, Profe!!, Maestra Prostituta, TAKS, TEKS, STAAR, FCAT, Cool down corner, Zen Den, 20 new teachers every year, HR Memo, Growth Plan, Car Line Duty, Graphic Restroom Grafitti, Helicopter Parents, B1 Bomber Parents, Litigious Parents..............

But I come back each year because I love it.
